International webinar recap: Green Power – environmental problem analysis
On October 14, 2024, we proudly hosted a webinar titled “Green Power,” a core element of our EU co-funded project. With 15 engaged participants, this session offered an enriching exploration of environmental problem-solving through innovative green strategies. During the webinar, we showcased and tested materials from the FERI platform, focusing on three main modules: Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Climate in Our Hands. Each module was designed to build essential competencies in sustainability and was well-received by the attendees.
The Creativity module inspired participants to approach green challenges with innovative thinking, encouraging them to see ecological issues as opportunities for sustainable solutions. The Critical Thinking module provided tools for analyzing environmental data, fostering skills that are critical for assessing the impact of various ecological initiatives. Lastly, the Climate in Our Hands module offered an interactive experience, empowering participants to understand and address climate issues at both local and global levels.
Our group was active and collaborative, working through exercises and discussions that brought these concepts to life. Participants delved into scenario-based tasks, offering fresh perspectives and potential solutions to real-world environmental challenges. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with attendees expressing enthusiasm for applying these tools in their own practices.
This webinar was a testament to the growing demand for educational resources that emphasize environmental stewardship and innovative thinking. We look forward to further sessions, continuing to support the development of green competencies through hands-on, impactful learning experiences. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this session, making it a lively and productive event in our journey toward a more sustainable future.
Using a SWOT analysis framework, we analyzed the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats associated with various environmental issues. This approach enabled participants to identify both internal and external factors influencing these challenges, providing clarity on how green strategies can address and mitigate them.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined and contributed their insights! Together, we’re driving sustainable change.
