We are happy to share with you the first description of our project idea for the Badge+ Recognition System developed within the Education on the Road project.
Learning does not stop when a workshop ends or when participants return home. Some of the most valuable learning happens while travelling, exploring new places, meeting people and reflecting on real-life experiences.
Within Education on the Road, badges serve as visual representations of microcredentials. They help learners, educators and organisations recognise and communicate learning achievements gained through mobility activities, workshops and community-based learning.
Instead of rewarding participation alone, the Badge+ Recognition System focuses on demonstrated learning outcomes, evidence of learning and a structured validation process. Each badge confirms that a participant has achieved specific competences and completed the learning pathway.
The project introduces six learning pathways, each linked to one dedicated badge and one microcredential. Participants can develop competences in digital storytelling, sustainable travel, circular economy, community engagement, traditional crafts and intergenerational learning.
For us at Baba Husky, this approach reflects how adults learn best – through experience, curiosity, collaboration and real-world challenges. Badge+ helps learners recognise their progress, build confidence and make their competences visible in a modern and learner-centred way.
